Shipments can be in one of several States (for example, Delivered, In-Transit, Void, etc). The shipment tracking system will change the state between Manifested, Delivered, In-Transit and Exception depending on the latest reports from the carrier. The tracking system will normally stop monitoring shipment status after three weeks.

There may be cases where an operator needs to change the status of a shipment manually. This may be necessary when the carrier's tracking system cannot be used or after the automatic tracking period has passed.

To change the Status of a shipment use the Change Status action.

Select one or more shipments and click the Change Status button to proceed.

Once you submit the changes will be applied and will be immediately visible to the customer.

Note that during the automatic tracking period the system will attempt to update the state regardless of this change.
